The Gala Masala was a small gathering
of 8 bands at Touch Of Asia in East Windsor
on June 22, 1997. The bands came from 5
states to play in one holy night and eat Indian food.
A free compilation of all 8 bands was given
away at the door. This CD is a digital restoration
of one of those cassettes, as the original has
never been located. Enjoy this as the 80 or so
people did that glorious night in history.

This 16 track compilation contains clones of every
"alternative" band from Red Hot Chili Peppers,
Smashing Pumpkins and Blind Melon to Mr. Bungle,
Beck, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Most of it's
good, some of it sounds like it was recorded on a
Radio Shack tape recorder in a bathtub in the
basement under a dirty mattress. Bands included
are: Godboy, Plastic Ash, Elevenland, The Great Glass
Elevator, Subatomic Billiards, Ben, Fiber, and Shower With Goats.
